Beyond Kinabalu Park, visitors can find a good range of cheap eats at restaurants and hawker stalls around Kundasang town and even long the main road. Local cuisine is composed mostly of rice and noodle dishes done in Malay, Chinese or native styles. Some of Sabah's culinary favourites include 'Tuaran Mee' (egg noodles), 'Ngiu Chap' (beef noodles with offal) and 'Sinalau Bakas' (roasted wild boar). Most hotels also have their own restaurant catering for guests.
