KK City

Kota Kinabalu

Formerly Jesselton, Kota Kinabalu is Sabah's capital and gateway to exploring the wonders of North Borneo, including Mount Kinabalu, which gave the city its name. Home to over 600 thousand people of different ethnicities including indigenous groups, naturalised citizens, expatriates and immigrants, 'KK' as more popularly known is a melting pot of cultures and tourist hot spot in Southeast Asia.

At KK City, visitors can explore the many buildings, structures and emblems of modern, cultural and historical design scattered across a coastal landscape fringed by green hills and meandering rivers. Its city center occupies a relatively small area that can be covered on foot in a day.
