Double Six Monument

Kota Kinabalu

Double Six Monument is a memorial to Tun Fuad Stephens, the first chief minister of Sabah who died in a plane crash at this very sport, located at Sembulan district off KK City Center. Nestled on a beautiful recreational ground called Grace Park, the monument consists of an archway and obelisk with plaque detailing facts and names about the incident.

For more information, a gallery next to the entrance exhibits photos, news cuttings and memorabilia regarding the crash. Situated within the park is also Grace Point Complex - a large food court comprising local and international hawker stalls. Nearby the park is Sutera Harbour Resort who also manages a bakery here (Breads & More).
