Monsopiad

Kota Kinabalu

Monsopiad Cultural Village is a living museum of Kadazandusun people, the largest ethnic group in Sabah. Named after a fearsome Kadazan warrior in ancient days who made head-hunting his hobby, the village is gentle and friendly in nature, bringing visitors on a tour of customs, costumes and culinary delights of indigenous groups in Borneo.

Some of the activities include traditional wine drinking, sago worm eating, shooting blow pipes, bamboo stilt walking and watching tribal dances. The village is located 12km south of KK City in Kuai Village, accessible from Putatan (airport road) or Donggongon (Penampang) by following signboards at the respective townships.
