Sabah

Borneo, Malaysia

Borneo, third largest island in the world, is home to many wonders of nature and wildlife that are endemic - occupying lowland jungle up to the highest elevations of montane forest. Sabah provides a gateway to explore these natural attractions that are fast disappearing due to habitat exploitation for oil palm estates, urban development and logging industries.

Visitors can discover magnificent centuries-old trees that compose the jungle canopy; get close and personal with great apes of Borneo, the Orang Utans; explore wetland regions and mangrove swamps in search of the Proboscis Monkey on river safaris; and climb up dramatic granite slopes to the summit of Mount Kinabalu.
