Inobong Substation is a hill and nature reserve along the highlands of Crocker Range Park, located 18km southeast of KK City near Donggongon town in Penampang. This beautiful retreat provides an incredible view of the city, coast and sea from 600 meters above sea-level, a well-kept secret that not many locals even know about despite its proximity.
The park also has accommodation facilities and a small jungle trail that leads to a mini waterfall. To reach the substation, follow signboards to Penampang from KK, then Tambunan or Lok Kawi Wildlife Park, and further signage to Inobong Substation should appear shortly. It's a steep incline on mostly gravel road until the entrance.
