Tip of Borneo

Kudat, Sabah

Tip of Borneo is a cape at the very northern edge of Sabah's west coast - the highest crest of Borneo Island on the map. Also known as 'Simpang Mengayau' among locals, the cape is one of East Malaysia's most popular tourist attractions, located 25km away from Kudat town or 190km north of KK City through Kota Marudu.

A hill on the tip provides an incredibly panoramic lookout point that overlooks the meeting of South China Sea at east and Sulu Sea at west - especially beautiful on sunset. Accessible from a junction about 12km before Kudat, visitors will also notice the stunning Kalampunian Beach along the shore just before hitting the cape at the road's end.
