Serinsim Substation

Kota Marudu, Sabah

Serinsim Substation is a nature park at Kota Marudu, located about 15km away from town on the back route (Marak-Parak Highway) to Ranau. The northern gateway to climb Mount Tambuyukon (2,579 meters above sea-level), third highest mountain in Malaysia, this remote ranger outpost of Kinabalu Park is little known among tourists and even locals in Sabah.

Here, an incredibly beautiful river meanders through a picturesque landscape of granite boulders, shady trees and lush hills, creating a picture-perfect postcard of natural serenity in Borneo's rainforest region. Open daily from morning till evening, overnight accommodation is available at hostels and chalets with camping.
