Tuaran

Sabah, Malaysia

Tuaran is a small town 30km north of KK City Center, located along the west coast of Sabah just after the junction to Tamparuli (gateway to Mount Kinabalu and Sandakan via east coast highway). Sabah's most recognisable dish 'Tuaran Mee' originates from the Chinese (Hakka) community that live here, along with a majority of Dusun people and large Bajau population.

At its coastal outskirts lie some lovely beaches that include Dalit Bay and Karambunai Peninsular - both are occupied by luxury resorts. Another famous spot in Tuaran is the bridge over Mengkabong River near Gayang Village, which provides a magnificent view of Mount Kinabalu over the river on a clear day.
